No. QuickSleeper⑤ delivers anesthetic intraosseously near the treatment site rather than into surrounding soft tissue. Because the anesthetic is localized to the bone around the tooth, patients do not experience the facial numbness commonly associated with traditional nerve block injections. As a result, areas such as the lips, cheeks, and tongue remain unaffected.
